Brief Profile of Rev. Prof. Solomon X.Y. Jallayu, PhD.
Rev. Prof. Solomon X.Y. Jallayu, PhD, has had a rich and diverse educational journey that has spanned several countries. In 1999, from the Institute for French Studies in Monrovia and the University of Lome in Togo, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) equivalent degree in Education with emphasis in French as a foreign Language and History. Following this, he acquired a diploma in Pastoral Ministry from The Salvation Army Officer Training College in Liberia and a certificate in College Administration from The Salvation Army Leadership Training College of Africa in Zimbabwe.
In 2003, Rev. Prof. Solomon X.Y. Jallayu, PhD, was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel. He furthered his studies by earning a second Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Theology from Global University in Missouri, USA. Subsequently, he completed his Master’s Degree in Theology from Vision International University in California in 2007. With this, in 2014, he successfully obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Psychology Education from the Evangel Christian University of America in Louisiana, USA.
Rev. Prof. Solomon X.Y. Jallayu, PhD, extended his educational pursuits by obtaining a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree in Law from HIPDET University in Bamenda, Cameroon in collaboration with Hill City University in Cotonou by 2021. Alongside his academic achievements, he has also made significant contributions as an educator and pastor for over 20 years. As a loyal family man, he is married to Rev. Victoria Zarr-Jallayu and they are blessed with four Children, one son, Prince, who holds a master’s degree in Civil Engineer and three daughters, Pamela, Sovic (BSc in pharmacy and junior student at Laweh University in Ghana respectively) and Solome who is still in grade school.
He is the Founder of Christ Mission Ablaze Evangelical Ministries, the Evangel Christian Academy, and the Evangel Christian University College in Paynesville, Liberia. Throughout his career, Rev. Prof. Solomon X.Y. Jallayu, PhD, has held various roles, including serving as an Instructor at Wesleyan College of Liberia and the University of Liberia, as well as being the Extension Training Director of The Salvation Army Leadership Training College of Africa in Zimbabwe. He also held positions such as Dean and President of Vision Christian College, President of the Grand Gedeh University College, and Vice President of the Consortium of Public Community Colleges and Universities in Liberia.
Additionally, Rev. Prof. Solomon X.Y. Jallayu, PhD, has served as Chairman of the Governance Council of Hill City University of Science and Technology, an adjunct Professor at Evangel Christian University of America, and the National Director of AEGA Ministries International in the USA, and presently serves as the Deputy Executive Director for Quality Assurance And Compliance at the National Commission on Higher Education (NCHE).
His extensive educational background and wealth of experience demonstrate his commitment to academia and spiritual leadership. As an academician, notable amongst his Publications is ‘Adventures of Psychology’.
